Spotlight on: Jill Chapman

The Back to (Home) School Bash welcomes Jill Chapman, a local author and homeschool mom! Come see Jill and chat with her at the Bash this summer!

Jill Chapman resides in Southern Indiana with her husband of forty-five years. They enjoy their country lifestyle and visiting with their children and grandchildren. Her life centers around her family and her yellow lab, Indy. She is an avid movie watcher, loves Mexican food and watercolor painting.

As a former homeschool mom, she knows the challenges and the joys of home education. Her middle grade novels, The Bomb Squad and Off the Grid, reflect a family-friendly world view with some adventure added. She’s also written children’s prompted journals and an adult gratitude journal titled, Simple Scribbles. Her book, 10 Common Mistakes Newbie Homeschoolers Make and how to avoid them, has tons of advice for newcomers to the homeschooling scene.

Jill says her life is like a good plate of nachos, a tiny kick of spice, and a whole lotta cheese.
