Bubbles in the Rain

Hello Wild Kids,

I have a question for you. Do bubbles pop in the rain? In general, a bubble pops when some of the water in it evaporates. This makes the outer layer of soap too thin to keep the necessary surface tension. Bubbles won’t pop when the surface is wet or when it’s touched with something wet because you maintain the surface tension and the water does not evaporate. You can get bubbles to last pretty long and stick to all sorts of things in the rain!

Experiment at home with your own bubbles. What can YOU get bubbles to stick to in the rain?

Always keep exploring!
